1964

In 1964, The Beatles continued their meteoric rise to international fame, releasing two albums – “A Hard Day’s Night” (July 10, which served as the soundtrack to their first feature film of the same name), and “Beatles for Sale (Dec 4).

As for fashion, The Beatles continued to influence trends. Their tailored suits evolved slightly with the band members often sporting more refined and fashionable variations: they wore at least 4 different variations of the Chesterfield including the Ed Sullivan, A Hard Day’s Night, and the Hollywood Bowl suit. All having velvet lapels. The collarless jackets and slim trousers remained a staple of their look.
